Children of all ages are very welcome at all of our services. We adhere to a child protection policy, in line with that of the Diocese of Southwark, which seeks to ensure the greatest safety and wellbeing of all our children and those who work with them.

During the Sunday 9.45am. service on all but the fist Sunday of the month, SUNDAY CLUB, meets in Church House. There are three children's groups, Pebbles 3+ to 6 years, Rocks 7 - 11 years and Boulders over 11s. The children join the adult congregation in church at the time of communion.

After we have shared the peace they share what they have been doing in their groups. Younger children usually stay with their parents in church for the main service, though we are looking at the possibility of a separate creche for those who would like it.

HAPPY BAGS containing story books and colouring are available in church. There is also the tower room - not as bad as it sounds! - where parents are welcome to take their children during the service if they need to, where babies may be fed and changed and where the service is relayed on the sound system.

BOULDERS, also have particular responsibilities in church on the third Sunday of the month and then after lunch together will have a special afternoon activity, finishing at 4pm. Young people are encouraged to join in all church activities and we currently have children who serve, ring the bells, read, lead the prayers and act as 'special friends' to the newly baptised.

We have a policy of admitting children to communion prior to confirmation and preparation classes are run as necessary. On the first Sunday of each month we have PARISH COMMUNION FOR ALL AGES. There is no sermon at this service and we aim to learn by 'doing'. This service is informal and particularly suitable for those less used to coming to church.

Children and babies are welcomed into the church in Baptism / Christening at our main 9.45am. service. Parents are welcome to choose which sort of service they would prefer, All Age or a more formal service and where possible the date that suits them best.

On the second Monday of the month there is an AFTER SCHOOL CLUB, aimed at those of primary school age. We meet together in Church House at 4.15pm. for a drink and a biscuit. Then we have an activity and finish by 5.30pm. Parents and younger children are very welcome to stay in church House whilst we are busy elsewhere!

AS A PARISH WE ARE COMMITTED TO INCLUDING BABIES, CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIFE TOGETHER, ENABLING THEM TO LIVE AND GROW IN FAITH AS IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE PARTICULAR STAGE OF THEIR OWN DEVELOPMENT.
