The Church

We pray for our own parish and the parish of St Peter and St Paul, Nutfield, as we look for new ways of sharing the gospel together, and that we may all be open to the word of God as we go forward in the United Benefice of our two parishes. We pray for Christian people everywhere that together we may seek the presence of God and be his light in the world.

The World

We pray for all in the world who are victims of opperssion and injustice, especially remembering all those in Zimbabwe. O God of many names, lover of all nations, We pray for peace in our hearts, in our homes, in our nations, in our world, the peace of your will, the peace of our need.

We also pray that you will guide all those who exercise authority to give them the determination to defend the principles of freedom, love, and tolerance, strenght to protect and safeguard the innocent, and clarity of vision to guide the world into the path of justice and peace.

We pray for the troubled areas of this world remembering particularly the mainly Christian black Africans of the Darfur region of Sudan and for the percuted Christians in China and all other parts of the world.

The Community

We pray for families and friends of who are apart, for whatever reason, remembering especially those known to us personally.

We pray for those celebrating birthdays this month and we wish them a very happy day.

We pray for all those who are preparing for confirmation and especially pray for all the young people who will have taken their firat communion on before confirmation.

We pray for everyone at Tinsley House (the Immigration Detention Centre at Gatwick Airport), the staff and chaplaincy team in the work that they do, and we particularly pray for those awaiting deportation from this country that they may find hope in God’s love for them.

Those who are ill

We pray for those who are ill on the Parish list

We pray for those who have died

We give thanks and pray for the lives of those we have known and loved who have died, and whose anniversary of death falls at this time.
